This might sound silly, but watch Stevie Nick’s 1976 masterpiece performance of “Rhiannon” on The Midnight Special. It’s on YouTube. It’s transcendent & fully felt.
it's been beautiful. I feel the chill in the air and leaves are starting to turn and fall slightly. it's breathtaking here in the Oregon forest <3 thank you <3
This sounds glorious! It’s still very hot and humid here in the UK right now, but I can’t wait for the Wheel to tip slightly more into that Mabon chilliness soon! :)
Reading this alongside the Japanese calendar this week has been striking. In Japan, we just finished summer doyo — an earth-season where the almanac says not to break new ground or start new things. The element of earth is unsettled between summer and autumn. Then on August 7, Risshuu arrives: the official Beginning of Autumn, over a thousand years older than the Gregorian calendar. Your description of Lughnasadh as the first harvest — the summertime switch to slowing down — mirrors this perfectly. Two traditions, separated by thousands of miles, both saying: the peak of summer is actually autumn knocking. The calendar knows what the thermometer doesn't.
Slowing down to simply be, is underrated. Thanks for the reminder! Blessed Lughnasadh!
And so helpful when life is sweeping us away! I hope you had a beautiful Lughnasadh.
I love your suggestion of working with Rhiannon. I typically work with Demeter at this time but you’ve inspired me.
She has so many focuses but I love seeing her as a mother and harvest goddess – I wonder how she will differ in her energy from Demeter for you x

I’ve just watch this now and - very honestly - feel quite transformed. Thank you so much for sharing this with me!
Wonderful. It’s just—wow. I watch it a couple times a month just for the 🤩 infusion! At the end I think she’s fully possessed.
Thank you and blessings <3
I hope you've had a gorgeous day! 💛🌻
